Profile
Hawley came to Stewart in 2000 with nearly 25 years of title industry experience. He had served in a variety of senior positions for Chicago Title Insurance Company in the New York and New England areas. Over the years he has developed specialized expertise in transactions involving foreign investors purchasing property in the U.S., U.S. investors purchasing property in foreign countries, underwriting commercial real estate transactions and title due diligence.
Hawley is a Retired Brigadier General in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, receiving the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Commendation Medal during his distinguished career of 33 years in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps.
Hawley received his undergraduate degree from Fairfield University and his law degree from the University of Detroit. He has been admitted to the Connecticut Bar Association as well as the Court of Military Appeals Bar and the United States District Court Bar. He is a much sought after speaker for both industry and corporate events.
