Jobs are everything to an economy. Period. People with jobs buy houses, and so goes jobs so goes roof tops, and so goes the demand for commercial real estate.
The latest state-based numbers recently were released, and they provide a unique insight into how specific economic factors impact each state/region differently.
The following State Excel sheet lists the percent change in jobs in each state in the last 12 months (comparing November 2010 to November 2009) and also comparing the previous 10-years (November 2010 versus November 2000) using non-seasonally adjusted employment numbers).
Also included are MSA(Metropolitan Statistical Area) numbers.
