Zillow tracks homes prices in many markets and submarkets across the country and they are now seeing some recovery in many markets five years after the initial fall in housing sales volumes and prices.
Two links follow. The first link references an August Zillow press release. Pay attention to the table in the press release noting the largest 25 metro areas covered by Zillow and note the percent of homes with mortgages that are underwater. While the usual suspects are all there, note that Denver has 40 percent of homes with loans in this category.
The second link covers market statistics for Zillow-covered areas.
