Best Day to List a Home to Sell

REDFIN completed an analysis of 1.2 million listings in 16 markets over 21 month period and found that Friday was the best day to list a home for sale. Their analysis indicated that for all 16 markets homes listed on a Friday were 12 percent more likely to go sell within 90 days and sold at an average 94.4 percent of asking price versus 93.9 percent for listed on either Sunday or Monday. The researchers hypothesis is that these ‘fresh’ listings become the top-viewed and toured properties on weekends.
